Fenton

I’m Vicky Sue (Walker) Dooley, age 75, of Fenton, a beloved figure in her community, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at her home. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton.

Born on April 29, 1950, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late John and Arlene (Hall) Walker. Vicky was a dedicated mother, nana, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. Vicky graduated from Northern High School in 1967 and earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Oakland University. She dedicated her career to the field of nursing, with 16 of those years serving as Unit Manager at Briarwood in Flint. Her professionalism and compassion in caring for others left an indelible mark on her colleagues and patients alike. Vicky was united in marriage to Edward Dooley on March 16, 1985. Sadly, he preceded her in death on June 22, 2021.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Vicky was known for her vibrant personality and her love for Christmas, embracing the joy of the season year-round. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, taking cruises, taking vacations and cherished her time at her house on Lake Fenton. Her biggest joy in life were her grandbabies. As a proud University of Michigan fan, she celebrated her allegiance with fervor. Above all, Vicky deeply valued God, family and country. God Bless America.

Vicky is survived by her beloved daughter, Tammy (Chad) Reed; son, Tim Gean; daughter, Holly Gean; and her 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who will remember her for her unwavering love and support. She is also survived by her brothers, John and Steven Walker, and her best friends, Teri Koon and Rebecca Huot.

In addition to her parents and husband, Vicky was preceded in death by her grandson, Liam; her twin sister, Cindy; her brother, Ken; and her sister-in-law, Linda Walker. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
