Victor Bennett

BENNETT, Victor Martin - age 82, of Ypsilanti, died Friday, May 9, 2014. Services will be held 1:30 PM Friday, May 16, 2014 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, Michigan. Victor was born April 3, 1932 in Milan, MI, the son of Arthur and Florence (Keifer) Bennett. He was a 1951 graduate of Ypsilanti High School and a proud YHS football player on their State Championship team during the Glory Years (1946-1951). Victor was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1958. After his service, he had a long career as a golf course superintendent specializing in turf management. Surviving are: three children, Patrick M. Bennett; Vicki J. Bennett (Steve), Garrick C. Bennett. The mother of his children, Audrey C. Bennett, also survives.
