Victor Lee ROOT

ROOT, Victor Lee - Age 59, of Gaines, died March 20, 2014. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, March 24, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 1-8 PM Sunday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association. Victor was born October 11, 1954 in Owosso, MI, the son of DeVere and Shirley (Dodge) Root. He retired from General Motors-Cadillac Plant. Vic loved to fish, hunt and go on motorcycle and snowmobile trips. He enjoyed attending sporting events with his father and was an avid sportsman. Surviving are: wife, Guin; children, Timothy Root, Beth Bagwell, Paul Bagwell Jr. and their spouses; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; parents, DeVere and Shirley Root; brothers, Patrick and Gary Root; sister, Kelly Barrett, many nieces and nephews.
