DIMOND, Virgil Eugene Jr. "Bud" -- Age 71, of Montrose, died Saturday, September 20, 2014. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, September 24 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Dwight Rottiers officaiting. Burial in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 PM - 9 PM Tuesday, and 10 AM until time of service on Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Virgil was born January 4, 1943 in Flint. He was a 1961 graduate of Beecher High School. He retired form G.M. Truck and Bus in 1991 with 31 years of service, and was a member of the U.A.W. He had resided in Montrose the past 20 years coming from Clio. He married Kathryn P. Bennett on January 12, 1993 in Las Vegas. Surviving are: wife Kathryn; eight children, Susan, Scott, Kelly, Karie, Shelly, Cheryl, Ron and Kelly.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five siblings, Sandra, Patsy, Bruce, Pamela, and Katrina; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Beverly, Marie, Sheila, Les, and Joe.
