KIELIAN, Vivian Elizabeth - Age 92, of Swartz Creek, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. Louis Ekka as celebrant. Committal service will take place at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church or Old Newsboys.
Vivian was born June 22, 1933 in Flint, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Knapp) Jankowski. She graduated from All Saints Catholic High School. Vivian married John H. Kielian on August 18, 1951 in Flint. She retired from the Genesee District Library after 27 years as a library assistant. Vivian was a member of Sjogren’s Support Group, Genesee District Retirees and St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. She was an avid football fan, cheering on the Detroit Lions and University of Michigan. She loved reading, sewing, gardening, baking and cooking for her family. She loved the Christmas season cooking, decorating and carrying on the polish traditions with her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children; Lynn (Joe) Francis, Debra (David) Miller, Dianna (Lynn) Kielian, John Kielian and Suzanne (Doug) Schafer; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and baby brother, Edward (Carole) Jankowski.
In addition to her parents and husband, Vivian was preceded in death by her grandson, Eric Tozer; and her 6 brothers and sisters. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
