Vivian Parnell

Parnell, Vivian Alice -- Age 87, of Mundy Township, died June 24, 2017 at Courtyard Manor, Fenton. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, June 27 at Hope Lutheran Church, 7355 Silver Lake Rd., Linden. Interment in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Pastor Stephen Schilke officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Those desiring may contributions to the Building Fund at Hope Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society, or American Lung Association. Vivian was born April 15, 1930 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Gust and Theresa (Sowada) Fagerstrom. She was a 1948 graduate of Linden High School. She married Elmer E. Parnell on September 2, 1950 in Fenton; he preceded her in death May 7, 1997. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and was a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of bowling leagues in Fenton and Grand Blanc. She had been the Township Chairman for the March of Dimes and a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed golfing. Surviving are: three grandchildren, David Austin, Heather Parnell, and Nick Parnell; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer; two sons, Rodney and Richard Parnell; daughter, Rhonda Mitchell; brother, Gus Fagerstrom; and grand-daughter Krista Hooson.
