Waltraud ACHIMOV

ACHIMOV, Waltraud Luise - Age 76, of Fenton, died Friday, April 5, 2013 at her residence with her loving family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM on Monday, April 8, 2013, at Sharp Funeral Homes, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2 PM until time of service. Waltraud was born October 23, 1936 in Germany, the daughter of Richard and Hedwig (Nickles) Kretzler. She was educated in Germany and took college classes in Flint. Waltraud married Max Achimov on December 5, 1959 in Germany and he preceded her in death on December 1, 1999 . She worked at McLaren Hospital for 20 years as a Unit Clerk retiring in 1991. Waltraud had resided in Fenton since 1964. She was a member of the Fenton Moose Lodge and the Fenton VFW. Waltraud loved to crochet and knit. Surviving are: daughter, Karen Achimov, son-in-law, Robert Dean DuBois; grandchildren, Amanda and husband Lance Allen, and Andrew DuBois; 2 brothers in Germany; 1 niece and 2 nephews; and special family friends, Rita Thomas and Debi Shouse.
