KAMMER, Waltraud "Trudy" - age 74, of Grand Blanc passed away April 30, 2026. Cremation arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton.
Trudy was born June 14, 1951 in Flensburg-Jurgensby, Germany, the daughter of Helmut and Rose- Marie Kammer. She graduated from Port Huron High School then attended Eastern Michigan University where she received a teaching degree. After teaching for awhile she worked at Warwick Hills Country Club in Grand Blanc Michigan for over 25 years as a banquet manager. She enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting and needlepoint and made many beautiful pieces. Trudy loved the beach- more specifically south Florida where she was a snowbird each winter. She was an avid entertainer, cook, gardener, a voracious reader, and she loved to walk. Mostly, Trudy loved spending time with the love of her life, her longtime companion, the late Charles 'Big C" Bowles. Trudy was the sweetest lady you could ever meet with the biggest heart-her quick wit kept you on your toes and she always was the life of the party!
Trudy is survived by her brother, Gerhard Kammer; and her sister, Rosemary Kammer; her loving family, Charlie (Tammy) Bowles, and Heather (Tom) Alexander; grandkids, Chaz, Chelsea, Dillon, and Addison; great grandkids, Asher, Jade, Claire, and William.
A Celebration of Trudy's Life will be held at a later date this summer. Memorial contributions in her memory would be appreciated to The Lewy Body Dementia Association lbd.org.
Trudy was preceded in death by her parents Helmut and Rose- Marie Kammer; and her longtime companion, Charles Bowles. On line tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
