TOKARSKY, Wanda Anastasia - age 96, of Fenton, died Monday, March 17, 2014 at Genesys Convalescent Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, March 20, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Rev. Fr. Dwight Ezop and Fr. David Harvey con-celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton where a rosary will be prayed at 7:30 PM. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until time of mass Thursday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the St. John School Educational Foundation. Mrs. Tokarsky was born April 19, 1917 in East Chicago, IN, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Gzik) Jackura. She was a 1935 graduate of Washington High School in East Chicago and married Edward Tokarsky on May 7, 1937. They resided in Fenton since 1960 and he preceded her in death on April 16, 1994. Mrs. Tokarsky was a very talented seamstress and chef. Surviving are: two sons, Edward (Sandra) Tokarski of Titusville, FL, Douglas (Susan) Tokarsky of Titusville, FL; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Filiposki of Lowell, IN; many nieces and nephews.
