Wayland George Henrey McLAUGHLIN

McLAUGHLIN, Wayland George Henrey - age 81, died Tuesday, October 4, 2011. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday October 7, 2011 at the Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 W. Bristol Rd., Flint, Pastor Glen Gardner officiating. Visitation will be held 1:00P.M. until time of service at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of one's choice. Wayland was born January 22, 1930 in Paragould, AR., the son of R.L. and Ritha (Cupp) McLaughlin. He retired from General Motors Truck and Bus with 37 years of service. He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed doing mechanical and body work on cars. He enjoyed square dancing and fixing bicycles to give to his grandchildren. Wayland is survived by his sons, George (Chrisitne) McLaughlin of Flint and Eric (Brenda) McLaughlin of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Anna, Robert, Clarissa and Spencer; special friend, Lillian Marks of Hyde Park, VT.; sister, Betty (Glenn) DePriest and brothers, Bill (Florence) McLaughlin, Charles (Sue) McLaughlin and Larry (Judy) McLaughlin of AR. and many nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Violet and second wife, Louise.
