Wayne Charles Townsend

TOWNSEND, Wayne Charles - Age 71, of Atlanta, MI, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023.  Services will be held at a later date.  

Wayne was born August 23, 1952 in Owosso, the son of Charles Sidney and Ellen Adeline (Brown) Townsend.  He was a 1970 graduate of Byron High School.  He had resided in Atlanta for the past 20 years coming from Bancroft.  He retired from GM Chevrolet Truck and Bus.  

Surviving are: his children, Nadean (Kevin) McGarvey, Jeremy Townsend, Sidney Townsend and Samantha Townsend; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; sister, Linda Putnam; and several nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ellen Townsend; sister, Elaine Blair.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
