Wayne McCoy WALDROP

WALDROP, Wayne McCoy - age 75, of Flint, died Monday, August 19, 2013 at his residence. Service will be held 10 AM Monday, August 26, 2013 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. Visitation will be held 3-5 and 6-9 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Mr. Waldrop was born August 21, 1937 in West Asheville, NC, the son of Fred and Mary (Arwood) Waldrop. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. Surviving are: wife of 50 years, Geanette Waldrop; three sons, Tim, Scott and Joe Waldrop and fiance Jessy; seven grandchildren, Jenny, Ashley, Krystal, Jeremy, Justin, Josh and Phoenix; five great-grandchildren; sister, Bobby; brother, Lester (Markitta) of SC; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: son, Coy; parents, Fred and Mary Waldrop; brothers, Paul (Mavis), Fred, Jr., Jay; sister Ruby (Hoppy) Cassida.
