Weldon Richard Fain

Weldon Richard Fain, of Flushing, passed away unexpectedly on August 13, 2026, at Regency of Grand Blanc. He was 84 years old.

Born December 22, 1941, in Flint, he was the son of Weldon M. and Margaret Catherine (Howchin) Fain. Richard retired from General Motors where he worked at Fisher Body and the Buick for 30 years, upon his retirement he began building many homes for family and friends. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, he ran the youth football program for many years and was an avid car enthusiast and loved his classic cars.

Richard is survived by his wife, Rebecca; son Charles and his wife Kelly; daughter Elizabeth “Beth” and her husband Paul; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Ashley, Kaycee, Taylor, Brendon and Grant; 8 great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter, one sister Margaret “Pats” Evans and husband Kerry his lifelong friend George and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his older sister Nancy.
