Wesley Ervin Henry "Weasel" BENNETT

BENNETT, Wesley Ervin Henry "Weasel" -- Age 65, of Durand, died Sunday July 28, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday August 1, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Rev. Randy Brandon Officiating. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Wednesday and 10 AM until the time of service Thursday. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Ashley's College Fund. Wesley was born May 19, 1948 in Flint, the son of Willard and Bernice (Burdick) Bennett. He married Sharman Tyson on February 10, 2007. Wesley was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in Vietnam. He retired from GM- Cadillac Plant in Grand Blanc. He was a member of the Durand VFW and UAW Local 1292. Surviving are his wife, Sharman; 4 children, Wesley (Julie) Bennett of Flint, Eric Bennett of Flint, Ricky (Danielle) Bennett of Davison, and Ashley Bennett of Durand; 2 step-children, Allyson and Michael Ketchum of Flint; 4 grandchildren, Jacob, Eric, Jaxon, Brady; siblings, Beverly McKinnon, Marie (David) Lukonnen, Katherine "Pat" (Bud) Dimond, Sheila (Gary) Sutton, Les (Cheryl) Bennett, Joseph (Deborah) Bennett; several nieces and nephews.
