Hunt, Wesley Charles - Age 99, of Mt. Morris, died February 12, 2026 at his residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday February 20, 2026 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5191 Richfield Road, Flint, Michigan 48506. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Committal service will be held 11 AM Monday February 23 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan 48442 Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507.
Wesley was born April 4, 1926 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Bayley Charles Hunt and Verna (Streu) Hunt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in WWII. He married Dolores Bausack on March 12, 1949. He had worked for Applegate Chevrolet. Then had many years of service for General Motors- Fisher Body before retirement. He also worked for Erv Saultman as a carpenter. He was a hard worker, providing for his family. He was always working on projects and things around the house. He enjoyed building WWII model airplanes and playing frisbee and Jarts. Wesley was a devoted husband, father and Papa.
Surviving are: his wife of 76 years, Dolores; six children, Charles (Barb) Hunt, Thomas Hunt, Joyce Powell, Karen (Hugh) Hayes, Judith (Martin) Ware, Mary (Timothy) Huck; thirteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Helen (Willard) Bartes, Joyce (Joe) Goodman, Barbara (Bud) Osborne; son-in-law Richard Powell; daughter-in-law, Peggy Hunt; and grandson, Arista Hunt.
