ALEXANDER, Wilford J. "Bill", age 80, of Fenton, died Monday, April 9, 2007 at home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30AM Wednesday at the Chapel of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. The family will receive friends 9:30AM Wednesday until time of Mass at the church. Interment will follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Military honors will be performed under the auspices of Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243 at the cemetery. Â Visitation will be held 1-8PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. A Rosary will be prayed 5PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John G.I.F.T. Campaign. Bill was born September 24, 1926 in Flint the son of Joseph and Helen (Kranich) Alexander. He graduated from Dye High School, was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, serving as a sergeant and had been employed by General Motors at the truck plant, for over 30 years. Bill was active in the community, having been a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Loose Center, National AARP, past member of Knights of Columbus, past scoutmaster at St. Michaels and Treasurer of Lake Fenton Sportsman's Club for 12 years. Surviving are, nephew Dale "Andy" Alexander and wife Theresa; 3 nieces, Cindy Ash, Mary Jo Warren, Terri Garza; 4 cousins, Jerry Rancour and wife Nancy, Dennis Rancour and wife Ipy, Marilyn Pratt, Patricia McCloud and many other loving family members.
