William Christopher Coad

Coad, William Christopher - Age 77, of Flint, passed away March 18, 2026. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc, MI 48507 with Pastor Dale Moore officiating. Interment of his cremated remains will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 AM - 1 PM Tuesday, April 28 at the funeral home. William was born April 26, 1948, in Flint, the son of Earl and Mary Catherine (Ford) Coad Sr. He was a 1967 graduate of Linden High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he received a purple heart in service to his country. William retired from the United States Postal Service where he was a mail handler. Surviving are: daughter, Christine Coad of Flint; brother, Earl (Judy) Coad, Jr. of Fenton; and sister Pamela Spencer of Texas, brother, Steve Carpenter of Flint; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Linda Anne Coad; his parents; sisters, Gretchen Starr and Nancy Robinson; brother, Richard Hammel. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
