COHEN, William - Age 81, of Boynton Beach, FL formerly of Flint, died at his home under the care of Hospice of Palm Beach County, Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in Florida. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Machpelah Cemetery Chapel, Flint, with Mr. Leonard Meizlish officiating. Burial in Machpelah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributuions to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., Palm Beach, FL 33407 or a charity of one's choice. Mr. Cohen was born March 18, 1931 in Flint, the son of Herman and Frances (Pasternak) Cohen. He was a 1948 graduate of Flint Northern High School. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Cohen Married Rhea F. Mittleman July 1, 1958 in Flint. He was a self employed furniture salesman for 30 years, retiring in 1999. He had resided in Boynton Beach, FL since 1993, coming from Flint. Mr. Cohen was a member of the Jewish War Veterans and was also a Rotarian. Surviving are: wife, Rhea; 3 children, Kelly and husband Gary Rostan of Scottsdale, AZ, Kathy Gassman of Austin, TX, and Mark Cohen of Chicago, IL; 5 grandchildren, Brett, Abbi, Adam, Zackary, and Anna; several nieces and nephews.
