William Nelson "Bill" Day

DAY, William Nelson "Bill" - Age 88, of Linden, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2026. Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via Bill's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Pastor Vincent Slocum officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Bill was born June 4, 1938 in Wayne, the son of Gaylord and Ileen (McKee) Day. He was a 1956 graduate of Wayne High School. He married Carol Sue Kubitskey January 21, 1961 in Wayne, MI. He had resided in Linden for the past 6 years coming from Fenton. Bill owned and operated Village Remodeler's as a contractor, retiring in 1998. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, landscaping, playing cards, and watching the Detroit Lions, Tigers, and Red Wings.

Surviving are: his wife of 65 years, Carol; sons, Rod (Shelly) Day, Dave (Cindy) Day, Derek (Jill) Day, and Ryan Day all of Linden; grandchildren, Matt (Jessica) Day, Sara (Tom) Caskey, Zack (Kaitlyn) Day, Corey (Andrea) Day, Miranda Meek, Nolan Day, Landen Day, Breleigh Day, and Brendan Day; great grandchildren, Ryker, Jaxon, Avery, Makenna, Jace, Maddison, and Brooks; siblings, Bob (Pat) Day, Bev Kubitskey, Mary (Jim) Husband, and Gaylord (Angie) Day; and several nieces and nephews.
