William Hermann, Jr.

HERMANN, William Fullerton, Jr. - age 87, of Fenton, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at his residence. Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, 503 S. Leroy St., Fenton with Rev. Lloyd Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and from 10 AM until the time of services at the church. Contributions may be made in memory of William Hermann to the Autism Alliance of Michigan, 26500 American Dr., Southfield, MI 48034. Mr. Hermann was born October 14, 1926 in Detroit, the son of William Fullerton and Doris M. (Stokes) Hermann. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Hermann married Dorothy Jean Fitzpatrick on December 20, 1947 in Detroit. He was a mechanic and President of Bill Hermann Renault retiring in 2011. He resided in Fenton the last 26 years coming from Walled Lake. Mr. Hermann was an Elder in the Presbyterian Church and an active volunteer with church functions, hurricane relief efforts and Habitat for Humanity. Surviving are: wife, Dorothy; four children, Kathleen (Richard) King of Okemos, Denise (Steve) Davies of Highland; William Hermann III of Milford, Tom (Lynn) Hermann of Howell; six grandchildren, Megan (Greg) Ristau, Chad (Elli) King, Jeff (Lindsay) Davies, Brad Davies, Mathias Hermann and Kaileigh Hermann; grand-dog, Sam; five great-grandchildren; three siblings, Shirley Perkins, David Hermann, and Deanne Starbird; many nieces and nephews.
