William F "Bill" Kolbe

KOLBE, William F "Bill" -- Age 77, of Swartz Creek, died May 22, 2025 at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital. Services will be held 3 PM Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 11 AM Sunday June 8 until time of service at 3 PM at the funeral home. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly at a later time. Those desiring may make contributions to Wounded Warrior Project.

Bill was born April 17, 1948 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Jack Renshaw Kolbe and Hazel Frances (Anderson) Kolbe. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from General Motors (Buick). Bill was an amazing man. He was kind, loyal, and a true friend, having kept many life-long friends from childhood. No one was ever a stranger to Bill, as he would be found making conversations with someone everywhere he went. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, golfing, sailing, and most of all spending time with his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife Sharon; three daughters, Heather Locker of Flushing, Dawn Shaum (Lee Havard) of Swartz Creek, Tiffany (Greg) Wood of Flushing; eight grandsons, Braden, David, Tyler, Nathan, Easton, Cameron, Isaiah and Christian; sister, Judy Simons.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Hazel Kolbe; brothers, Jack Kolbe and Joseph Kolbe.
