William "Jeff" Pennington

William “Jeff” Pennington, age 76, of Lupton, passed away on February 18, 2026. The family plans a memorial gathering, to celebrate Jeff's life, on Saturday, March 14 from 12-3 PM at the Crow's Nest at the Linden Hotel, 122 East Broad Street, Linden. A committal service will be at 1:00 PM Monday, March 16, 2026 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden.

Jeff was born on January 24, 1950, in Barnabus, West Virginia, the son of the late Robert and Pearl Marie (Workman) Pennington. Jeff grew up in Pontiac where he made lifelong friends. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and carried that pride with him throughout his life.

Jeff had a deep love for the outdoors, great music, and working on classic cars. He was a true people person - social, warm, and known for having the biggest heart. Time spent with family and friends meant everything to him. Many will fondly remember him saying, “Come on by the house, we’ll sit out on the porch and have a beer.”

He is survived by his daughter, Nichole (Kyle) Shepard; his cherished grandchildren, Maveric, Aurora, and Elizabeth; his siblings, James (Diana) Pennington, Thomas Pennington, Larry (Nancy) Pennington, and Marcia Pennington; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Horner.
