William C. Tabacchi

A beloved father, brother, and lifelong student of the world, passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 84.

He was born on July 1, 1942, the son of Carlos Tabacchi and Ragna Holm. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Christie Ann Tabacchi who passed away November 17, 2010.

He is survived by his children, Alex George Tabacchi and Rachel Christie Wafle-Tabacchi, his sister, Rae Ellen Tabacchi Suttie; and his niece, Elizabeth Suttie Cartwright.

He was a man of wide curiosity. He loved art, history, and trivia, and he was always open to learning—especially foreign languages, Spanish above all. Travel was one of his great joys. He returned again and again to Mexico, Vietnam, and countries throughout Central and South America, always eager to see more, speak more, and understand more.

Those who knew him will remember an inquisitive mind, a generous heart, and a father who measured his life by the care he gave his children.

A life well traveled, well loved, and well remembered.
