William C. Thomas, Sr.

William C. "Bill" Thomas, Sr. - Age 85, of Fenton, passed away May 12, 2026. A memorial service for Bill will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, May 27 at Sharp Funeral Homes- Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd, Fenton. Memorial visitation will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service.

Bill was born November 28, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan to the late William H. and Marie (Carrow) Thomas. He served in the Navy on the USS Newport News CA-148 right out of high school. In the 1980's and 90's, Bill was an avid trap shooter in Richmond, Michigan and was the 1986 Amateur Trapshooting Association Michigan State Shoot Singles Champion. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf in his heyday. He spent his retirement years in Lake Wales, Florida from 1998 to 2024.

Bill is survived by his wife Sandra (Cox) Thomas; son Bill (Veronica) Thomas Jr.; stepchildren Steve (Jennifer) Sandor and Nicholas (Heather) Sandor; and grandchildren Violet Thomas, Ashlynn Sandor and Owen Sandor.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son Scott Thomas; brother Jerry (Dolores) Thomas; and sister Ruth.
