William Alexander Yax

William Alexander Yax, age 77, of Flushing, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.

William was born on April 16, 1947 in Alcona Township Michigan the son of the late LaVerne and Christina (Craner) Yax. He graduated from Alcona High School. William and Donna Tompkins were united in marriage on September 28, 1968 in Flint. He worked for 39 years at the Engineer Products Company in Flint as a Plant Manager until his retirement. William enjoyed spending time with his family dearly and was always proud of his two sons. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking and photography.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Donna Yax; son, James Yax (Christine Eddins); granddaughters, Paige Yax and Jera'e Campbell; daughter-in-law, Marice Campbell; two brothers, Tom and Rolland Lubben; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his son, William D. Yax; brother, LaVerne Yax; and three sisters, Anna Harmon, Helen McCullum, and Dorothy Gibbs.
