Yvonne Hendriksen

HENDRIKSEN, Yvonne - Age 73, of Flushing, passed away June 27, 2023 after a lengthy battle with Dementia. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Friday and from 11 AM until the time of service Saturday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Living Joy Assisted Living. Yvonne was born August 17, 1949 in Kennett, MO, the daughter of George and Lorene (McCarley) Gibbons. She was a 1967 graduate of Grand Blanc High School. Yvonne married, had a son and began a career in the insurance business. On November 12, 1986 she met the love of her life. She and "Eddie L." were married on October 6, 1990. Yvonne enjoyed traveling, reading, concerts, theater and time with family, friends and dogs. She is survived by her husband, Ed; son, Jeff (Sheila) Humphrey; brother, Tom (Shirley) Gibbons; step-son, Chris (Cynthia) Hendriksen; grandsons, Collin and Jadyne Hendriksen; brother-in-law, Chuck (Miff) Hendriksen; nephews, Bob (Aaliyah) LeMay, Jeff (Raisa) Hendriksen, Rob (Erin) Jackson; nieces, Kristy (Jeremy)  Erwin, Becky Hendriksen; uncle, Carol Bridges; aunt, Pat McCarley; BFF, Patrice Chandler; furbabies, Kozy and Chewie; many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Brenda LeMay; in-laws, Bernie and Dorothy Hendriksen; several aunts and uncles; furbabies, Maggie, Sam, Sookie, Angel and Spuds.
