HONEYSETTE, Yvonne Esther - Age 62, of Burton, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025. Services will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Flint First Wesleyan Church, 3825 Davison Road, Flint. Pastor's Chad and Amy Amoss officiating. Those desiring may make contributions to Flint First Wesleyan Church.
Yvonne was born April 1, 1963 in Flint, the daughter of Harold and Kathleen (Prevo) Kollen. She was a 1981 graduate of Bendle High School. She had resided in Burton her entire life. She was employed by the Bendle Public School System for 25 years. Yvonne was a member of Flint First Wesleyan Church. She had a passion for serving people and feeding them. She also volunteered countless hours for the Eastern Michigan Food Bank and the Food Pantry at Flint First Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed camping, hanging out with Alan and most of all spending time with her family.
Surviving are: her "Honey", Alan Teague of Burton; her children, Danny (Destiny) Honeysette of Burton and Geniene (Meaghan) Pierce of Harper Woods; grandchildren, Chevy and Lily Honeysette; extended family, Sara and Wayne Bailey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Kathleen Kollen; daughter, Ila Pierce; and brother, Edward Kollen. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
