Adrel Hope

HOPE, Adrel Aline, age 73, of Flushing, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020. Funeral service will take place 12 PM, Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Kamala VanSlyke will officiate with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 5 PM to 8 PM Friday and again from 11 AM until the time of service Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Childhood Cancer Organization. Aline was born on February 11, 1946, in Flint, the daughter of Thomas and Pansye (Smith) Black. She stayed home raising her children and caring for the home. Aline and Henry were united in marriage on October 12, 1991 in Flushing. She was a loving mother and grandmother "MeeMo" to many. Aline was her grandchildren's number one supporter and fan for all their events. She is survived by her loving husband, Henry Hope; four children, Rachel Black, Russell (Lisa) Blankenship, Janet (Jeffrey) Gurney, and Samuel (Leigh Ann) Armstrong; two step-sons, Jeffery (Sheri) Hope and Kelly Hope; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Bessie Byars; and one brother, Bill Black. Aline was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Pansye Black, and three sisters, Patsy Black, Amanda Koncheck and June Gann. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
