Alfred HAWKS

HAWKS, Alfred - Age 84, of Swartz Creek, died January 26, 2012 at Brians House Hospice. Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 3, 2012 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, with Rev. Don Neuville officiating. Those desiring may make contributions to Fenton Adopt-A-Pet or an organization for the benefit of animals. Mr. Hawks was born March 28, 1927 in Flint, the son of Alfred and Hazel Marie (Cupples) Hawks. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. He owned and operated gas stations in Flint and Grand Blanc in the 70's and had worked for AAA Delivery Services for 46 years with a Flint Journal route in Swartz Creek. Alfred is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Kim of Swartz Creek; son, Brad of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Rachel and Dillon; 1 great-grandchild, Colton; brother, Wesley and wife Joan; many cousins; 5 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Louise King. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.
