Arlene Myers

MYERS, Arlene Evelyn -- Age 91, of Durand, passed away May 3, 2021. Funeral services will be 1PM Friday, May 7 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor Jim Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held 4PM - 8PM Thursday and 11AM until the time of service on Friday. Interment at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.

Arlene was born April 5, 1930 in Swartz Creek; the daughter of Elmer and Clarinda (Burnham) Vincent. She married Elmer G. Myers in Swartz Creek on October 9, 1948. Arlene was employed as a bookkeeper and office manager in the grocery industry for 45 years. She was a longtime member of Bethel Park Free Methodist Church in Flint where she also taught Sunday School. She was an avid bowler and a member of Town and Country Bowling Leagues. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, especially crochet. Arlene enjoyed playing cards but most importantly spending time with family.

Arlene is survived by her children: Brenda Cole, Roxanne (Louis) McFall; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sister Shirley Beckwith; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Elmer; son Bradley; son-in-law Jim Cole; 4 brothers; 3 sisters. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
