Bruce Ferris

FERRIS, Bruce Gregory - age 69, of Gaines, died October 9, 2021. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473 with Rev. Barbara Benjamin officiating. Visitation will be held 1 PM - 7 PM Wednesday and 10 AM - 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gaines United Methodist Church, 117 W. Clinton St, Gaines, MI 48436. Bruce was born May 16, 1952 in Flint, the son of Dale and Deloris (Annibal) Ferris. He married Barbara Frazier on November 22, 1975. Bruce retired from General Motors. Bruce loved spending time with family and enjoyed vacations, golfing and hunting. Surviving are: wife, Barbara; son, Dale Ferris; daughter, Melinda (Gary) Pope; six grandchildren, Gary (Amanda) Pope III, Tim (Katie) Pope, Loren Pope, Nick Pope, Zachary Pope, and Sophie Pope; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dalene Blanford and Kris Harper.
