Charles Chaltron III

January 14, 1943 — April 14, 2020

Charles John Chaltron III, age 77, of Flushing and Fenton, died April 14, 2020 after a short battle with cancer. Chuck was born January 14, 1943 in Mt. Clemens, son of Frederick and Thelma (Skower) Chaltron. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran and was retired from a long career in Facilities Management at Mott Community College where he also earned his associates degree. In the 1990s, he was a Fenton Police Department auxiliary officer and proudly wore the uniform. Chuck loved to laugh and make dad jokes, he loved Westerns, John Wayne, hunting, fishing and camping. He is survived by his five children Charles Chaltron IV, Megan (Dennis) Putnam, Jessica (Bob) Miller, Ahna (Anthony) Rosenblum and Emily (Austin) Germain. Also, he is survived by his two brothers, Frederick and Harold Chaltron, his Aunt Patricia King, his 8 grandchildren, CJ, Samuel, Carter, Jayden, Daphne, Henry, Ivy and Theo, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his beloved dog Cleo. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Dennis and John Chaltron. A Celebration of his Life will be held 12-2 PM Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the Fenton Community Center, 150 S. Leroy Street, Fenton with a Military ceremony around 12:15 PM. Chuck’s ashes will be interred at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.  Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton.
