Cheryl Miatech

MIATECH, Cheryl Ann - age 78, loving mom and grandma- was received into her eternal rest on July 11, 2021.
Cheryl was born January 28, 1943 in Sharon, PA, the daughter of Frank and Mary Lickman. She was a graduate of Michigan State University and a proud alumni. She was the heart of the family and a devoted mother, grandmother, neighbor and friend. She was our sunshine on a rainy day. Her zest for life was reflected in the many family trips she planned, people she visited and events she attended and lives she touched. Surviving are: three children, Jill (Keith) Martus of Frankenmuth, Jason (Alanha) Asher of Brighton, and Jodi Keegan of Portage; 11 grandchildren, Adrianna, Sheldon, Connor. Alysa (Jeremy), Rachael, Justin, Ryan, Emily. Jacob, Molly, and Ben; great-grandchild, Asher; brother, Ron (Shirley) Lickman.
Cheryl had a deep love for rescued animals that led her to pouring her energy into volunteering at Horses Haven Rescue Farm. Her late rescued companion Oliver was her joy, although she would argue that Oliver had actually been the one who rescued her.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, July 19, 2021 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 2201 S. Old 23 Highway, Brighton, MI 48114 with Fr. Paul Erickson celebrant. Visitation will be held 3-5 and 6-8 PM Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430 where a vigil service will be held 6:30 PM Sunday evening. Visitation will also be held 10 AM - 11 AM Monday at the church.
