Dale Smallidge

SMALLIDGE, Dale Nelson - age 71, of Fenton, died June 26, 2020 with family at his side. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, June 29, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home where friends are encouraged to wear MSU Spartan Green & White attire. Dale was born June 27, 1948 in Flint, the son of Durwood "George" Nelson and June Louise (Stites) Smallidge. He was a proud member of the Mt. Morris High School Class of 1966 and had attended Michigan State University. Dale married Jan L. Capello-Maki on June 15, 1996.  He was a banker with Household Finance, D & N Bank and The State Bank for many years. Dale loved photography, golf and bowling. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. He enjoyed watching his grandsons play sports and organizing outings with his life-long friends and holidays with his family. Dale loved his dogs, Ernie and Emmie. Surviving are: wife, Jan; two daughters, Erin (James) Lane of Lapeer, Melanie (Josh) Johnson of Lapeer; two grandsons, Brady and Tucker Lane; two sisters, Amy (Patrick Beck) Smallidge of Davison, Teresa Smallidge of Traverse City; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Peter and Dolores Capello of Calumet, MI; niece, Molly (Cameron) Rondeau; great-niece, Tula, all of Traverse City; many other family members and friends.
