Dave Lowe

LOWE, Morris David "Dave" - Age 79, of Flint, died Sunday January 10, 2021. Funeral services will be held 12:30PM Tuesday January 19, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Josh McLaren officiating. Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 3PM-8PM Monday and 11 AM until time of service Tuesday. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Old Newsboys or St. Jude Children's Hospital or Paralyzed Veterans of American. Dave was born February 17, 1941 in Richlands VA, the son of James R. and June M. (Phillips) Lowe. He married Jewell Thomas in Westland, MI on December 20, 1986 and she preceded him in death in March of 2016. Dave proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Lowe briefly worked for Volkswagen, Ford Motor Company and later retiring from General Motors Metal Fabrication Plant. Dave volunteered for Old News Boys and local area Senior Centers. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and was an avid U of M football fan. Dave attended many antique car shows with his 1986 Chevrolet step-side pickup. Surviving are: children, Debbie Hunt of RI, Dawn (Greg) Wright of Romulus, David Lowe of FL; grandchildren, Jason Krug, Adam Krug, Joey Krug, Dave Lowe, Jake Lowe, Stephanie Lowe; step children, Teresa (Dave) Paul, Rita Thomas, Denny (Lillian) Thomas; 6 step grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
