Donald Davis

DAVIS, Donald Ray - Age 83, of Lennon, died Wednesday, August 7, 2019.  Cremation has taken place and no services will be held.

Donald was born March 31, 1936 in Marion, NC, the son of Robert and Ada (Champion) Davis.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.  He married Rosalie Abeare and she preceded him in death in 2012.  He retired from GM Chevrolet Manufacturing in 1993.  Donald has resided in Lennon for the past 6 years coming from Arizona.  He enjoyed golfing, boating, camping, and most of all spending time with his family.

Surviving are: his daughters, Linda (Greg) Vasicek of Durand, Vivian (Earl) Bular of Flint, and Cynthia Tkacz of Lennon; son, Thomas (Sherri) Hill of Hartland; 21 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Davis of Swartz Creek, and Harold and Raymond Davis of Marion, NC; several nieces and nephews, and his dog, Shadow.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Davis; grandson, Joshua Bular; and great grandson, Greyson Bowen.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
