Donna Maidment

March 4, 1933 — June 28, 2020

Donna Mae Maidment went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2020, surrounded by her loving children.  Born in Montrose, Michigan on March 4, 1933 to Floyd and Nora (Bertha) Gerow.
She was awarded the Daughter of the American Revolution while in school and was a cheerleader at Hoover High graduating in 1951.  Hoover High is where she met Pete (Ernest) Maidment and they started dating after graduation and married on November 27, 1952.
Donna was a devoted, loving wife, to her beloved husband Pete for over 60 years.  Her loving spirit showed in all she did, as a wonderful caring and compassionate Mother, Grandmother, and best friend to many, always willing to lend a hand.  Donna and Pete enjoyed traveling and had many wonderful adventures to Hawaii, Norway, an Alaskan cruise, and several visits to Florida, Las Vegas and Arizona.
She was a devoted Christian, an animal lover whose pets gave her such joy, and a talented artist who enjoyed oil painting.  She loved playing euchre with friends, taking casino bus trips, and just sitting on the back porch of her home enjoying the view of what she always called "God's little acre."
Donna was preceded in death by her husband Pete, her sister Betty Jackson, and several of her dearest friends including her best friend since childhood, Patricia Snyder.  She leaves behind four children, Susan Holtslander (Rick), Scott Maidment (Diane), Tammy Neuville (Rod), and Angela Flynn (Nick), and eight grandchildren, April Zink (Kevin), Tony Maidment, Jenna Dagen (Josh), Jordan Kilbourne (Jeremy), Kristen Garmyn (Brandon), Kody Neuville (Brittany), Audrey and Andrew Flynn and eleven great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held at the Linden Presbyterian Church for immediate family only.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her loving memory to the Linden Presbyterian Church and/ or Adopt a Pet of Fenton.  Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www. sharpfuneralhomes.com.
