HUTCHINS, Dorothy M. - Age 85, of Flushing, died Thursday, February 25, 2021. A private family service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service may be viewed on Dorothy's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). A public viewing will be held 4-8 PM Monday, March 1, 2021 at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of your choice. Dorothy was born May 15, 1935 in Flint, the daughter of Alvin and Louise (Holden) Springer. She was a 1953 graduate of Flint Tech High School. She married Ronald M. Hutchins September 29, 1956 in Flint. Dorothy had resided in Flushing since 1998 coming from Flint Township. She had been employed by Social Security, King Manufacturing, and Hudson's. Surviving are: her husband of 64 years, Ronald; 4 children, Gary Hutchins (Karen) of Carmel, IN, Lynn Harburn (Jim Szczygiel) of Fenton, Karen Hutchins of Destin, FL, and Debbie Williams of Davison; 6 grandchildren, Eric Harburn of Los Angeles, CA, Jared Harburn of Chicago, IL, Joshua Williams of Davison, Jessica Williams of Davison, Katie Havlin (Hank) of Indianapolis, IN, and Nicki Hutchins of Carmel, IN; brother-in-law, Bruce Hutchins (Carol) of Traverse City; and nieces and nephews.
