Duane Weaver

July 31, 1942 — September 12, 2016

We are blessed to have shared in the life of our beloved Duane Lee Weaver. Although it was much too short for us, we tearfully remember and memories that Duane leaves with us. Duane had an immense love for his family and friends. As a native of Flint, Duane remained true to his hometown by settling down in Swartz Creek with his high school sweetheart, Sally Ann Lefler. Together, they surrounded themselves with the love of family-- four children, cousins, aunts, uncles and later his son-in-laws and daughter-in-law, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grand children. He enjoyed nothing more than a warm summer day on the links with friends and taking Sunday drives with family--a treasured time for all. Duane cherished time spent watching his grandchildren participate in sporting events, traveling up north to his daughters house for time on the lake and hanging out with friends and Dom Polski "The Club". He will truly be missed for his roaring laughter, his cheerful demeanor and the strength he provided to those he loved in times of need. Now, it is time for his vivacious love and generosity to return to those he hasn't seen in a long time, reuniting with his parents, Earl and Margaret (Kalakay) Weaver, his brothers David and Donnie Weaver; brother-in-law Jerry Mucha; sister-in-law, Delores Weaver and his young grandson, Tyler Weaver. He left us unexpectedly on Monday, September 12, 2016 and leaves behind those that have unconditional love for him: daughter Tammy Hunt and her husband John and grandchildren Melinda and Ryan; daughter Teresa Breed and her husband Joseph; son Kenneth Weaver and his wife Jennifer and grandchildren Brandon, Andrew and Hayden; and daughter Jennifer Weaver, his twin sister Diane Mucha; brother Earl Weaver: sister-in-law, Donna Weaver: and special companion Joanie Hall. He also leaves behind many great-grand children nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Duane's life will be celebrated at a funeral mass on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Parish, 600 N. Adelaide, Fenton, Michigan. Fr. Jim Rolph celebrant.
