Eugene Cooper

COOPER, Eugene Gordon - Age 61, of Swartz Creek, died October 22, 2020. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service. Eugene was born April 12, 1959 in Flint, the son of Earl Leroy and Caroline Rose (Townsend) Cooper. He graduated from Swartz Creek High School in 1977 and from there worked for GM, retiring early from Buick City in Skilled Trades. He loved fast cars, hunting, traveling and fixing things up. Later in his life his passion became his kids and grandkids. Although he spent the last 15 years with big limitations, he was the perfect example of living life with humor, strength and courage. Surviving are his daughter, Danyle (Chris) Gocha; son, Tyler Cooper; grandchildren, Rowan and Lochlan Gocha; siblings, Roy Cooper, Sharen Bailey, Jim Cooper, Brenda Lane, Coleen Arwood and Leona Cooper; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
