Holzwarth, Evelyn W. - Age 84 formerly of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Colonial Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bardstown, Kentucky. Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, March 31, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek with Pastor Les Long and Rev. Eugene Reinwasser officiating. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 2-5 and 6-9 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Community of Christ Church, Tawas City. Evelyn was born January 31, 1923, the daughter of Chester and Lucille (Duncan) Morningstar. Before moving to Kentucky, she was a member of Community of Christ Church, where for many years she was the women's group leader, and devoted countless hours helping others. She faithfully served the Lord Jesus Christ, in whose presence she now resides. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, and was particularly proud of the cookbook she published and gave to many friends and family. She is survived by her sons, Eugene and wife Denise Reinwasser of Swartz Creek, Louis and wife Veronica Reinwassser of Okemos; daughter, Carolyn and husband Fred Hollingshead of Bardstown, KY; step-son, Charles Holzwarth of Alpena; daughter-in-law, Sharon Holzwarth of Alpena; sisters, Doris Brooks of Mt. Morris, Geraldine and husband Wayne Horton of Kalkaska, Catherine and husband, Gene Bacon of Florida, Marlene and husband Pastor Les Long of Lodi, Ohio; brothers, Robert and wife Bette Morningstar of Swartz Creek, Chester and wife Norma Morningstar of Burton, Anthony and wife, Dee Morningstar of Swartz Creek; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Eugene Reinwasser, Sr.; second husband, Clayton Holzwarth; step-son, Clayton H., Jr. Tributes may be shared with the family at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
