James Bodine Jr.

Bodine, James Thirstin, Jr. - Age 62, died Monday, September 30, 2019 surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Bristol Road Church of Christ, 1315 Bristol Road, Flint Visitation will be held 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, October 4, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek and 10 - 11AM Saturday at the church.

Jim was born on May 3rd, 1957, in Flint, the son of James Sr. and Jackie Bodine.

He married Lory Palmer on November 19th, 1977. Jim was a beloved husband, loving Daddy and doting Poppa. He had a love for drawing, photography, golfing with friends and teaching the word of God. His favorite thing in the world was to take his family to the shores of Lake Michigan.

Jim obtained his Masters of Finance at Walsh College. He worked as a manager at FCA.

Jim was a hero to many having donated 7 gallons of blood to American Red Cross.

Surviving are his wife, Lory, daughters Sara (Kevin) Stewart, Katy (James) Busam and Emily Bodine. Grandson Jesse Stewart. Mother, Jackie Bodine and brother Jeff (Cathy) Bodine.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Bodine Sr.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the National MS Foundation can be made in his honor.
