James Brohn

BROHN, James Walter - Age 85, of Linden, died Sunday, June 28, 2020.  A private graveside service will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Kidney Foundation of Michigan.   James was born October 2, 1934 in Houghton, MI, the son of William and Adora (Hall) Brohn.  He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army.  He married Virginia Faith Hays February 8, 1964 and she preceded him in death February 28, 2020.  He had resided in Linden since 1968, coming from Flint.  James retired in 1986 from GM Truck and Bus.  He enjoyed bowling, hunting, and fishing, and more recently photography, making telescopes, and lapidary work, cutting and polishing rocks.  Surviving are: daughter Stacy (Jim) Flowers; son William (Kelly Marciszewski) Brohn; grandchildren Frederick Borath, Sean and Kathryn Flowers; sister Mary Jane Queen; several nieces and nephews.   He was also preceded in death by his parents; twin brother John Brohn; brother Richard Brohn; and sister, Margaret Smith.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
