James Muchler Jr.

MUCHLER, James Lawson Jr. - age 56, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, October 8, 2021.  Funeral services will be held 1PM Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 5-8PM Tuesday, October 12,  2-8PM Wednesday, October 13,  and 12PM until the time of service on Thursday.

James was born February 15, 1965 in Flint, the son of  James and Linda (Borst) Muchler. He was a 1983 graduate of Swartz Creek High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1983-1985.  He married Suzanne (Kremesec) Palmer on March 19, 1994. He worked as a truck driver. James was a fire fighter with Flint Township at station 2 and in Swartz Creek.  He loved drag racing, motor sports, working on cars, spending time with his grandchildren, helping people and always playing tricks on people.

Surviving are: Wife, Suzanne; daughter Tanya (Jay) Holcolm of Burton; son, David Lee (Crystal) Palmer Jr. of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Alyssa, Logan, Carter, Jeffrey, Matt (Sara), Treasure, Nathaniel, Tanaya; father, James (Gail) Muchler; and many great grandchildren; brother, Tracy (Amanda) Muchler of Chelsea, MI; sister, Melody Earns of Marine city, MI; brothers, Lane (Franca) Earns of Boston, MA, Robin (Connie) Earns of St Louis, MO, Scott Slosser of Hale, MI, Tim (Tina) Slosser of Alpena, MI; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Muchler and nephew Joshua Harris
