Larry loved spending time outdoors whether it was taking his grandchildren on golf cart rides, fishing in his pond, or working around his yard. He also enjoyed watching Michigan Football, NASCAR, camping, traveling, hunting, golfing, boating, and snowmobiling.

Larry had a huge heart and always put others first, especially his family and the love of his life, Lori, whom he married on April 30, 2011. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and close friend to many. Surviving are: wife, Lori Johnson; children, Keith (Lindsi) Johnson, Brent (Sarah) Johnson, Nicole (Justin) Kopschitz, and Alissa (Brian) Coulter; grandchildren, Grady, Griffin, Isla, Jameson, Geanna, Leo, Lyla, and baby Noah who is on the way; his mother, Maxine Johnson; three brothers, David (Linda) Johnson, John (Mary) Johnson, and Michael (Betsy) Johnson; sister, Jackie (Rich) Knieper; many nieces and nephews.
