Louise Bachmann

Louise Marie Bachmann , age 93 of Grand Blanc, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2019.  Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM,  Monday, July 8, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd, Fenton with visitation 11 AM until the time of service.  Pastor Brenda Etheridge Officiating.

Louise was born on December 26, 1925 in Dexter, Missouri to Nola Jane and Wid Basham. She was brought to Flint as a toddler and spent her life in Genesee County.

She is survived by daughter, Linda Holloway of Clarkston; grandchildren Ronda Brinch (Linden), Jeff Holloway (Erie, PA), Jill Rafferty (Clarkston) and 6 great-grandchildren:  Ryan and Amanda Brinch, Jordan and Landon Holloway, Maddy and Liddy Rafferty.

Nanny to them all, she was a “story book” grandmother which included milkshakes for breakfast and always cookies in the cookie jar.  While short in stature, she was BIG in personality, persistence and faith in her Lord, and will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

She is also survived by brother, Delbert Basham and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Ameal (Butch), her son Loren Jolly and siblings Clara, Kenneth, Robert, Elbert and Delray.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring are encouraged to contribute to Samaritan’s Purse.

The family would like to thank the Oaks at Woodfield and Heartland Hospice for providing care, and friendship to Nanny over the past year.
