Maureen Wingate

WINGATE, Maureen Ellen - age 77, of Fenton, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020.  Visitation will be held 4-7 PM Thursday, August 6 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Friends and family that are not able to be here may view the entire visitation live by scrolling down below and clicking the green box to access the video.  A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.  Interment in Oakland Hills Cemetery, Novi.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the Alzheimer's Association.  Maureen was born February 6, 1943 in Detroit the daughter of Henry Joseph and Mary Ellen (Rogers) Verloove.  She was married to Robert L. Wingate. Maureen worked for many years and retired from J. L. Hudson.  Surviving are: sister, Marguerite Rose; nieces and nephews, Shelly Dean, Sheryl Crane, Edmond Verloove, Denise Guerrero, Dena Verloove, Danielle Verloove, Amber Verloove, Amy Rose Sengstock, Daniel Rose, Nick Rose, Bill Eagan, Jamee Eagan; and many great nieces and nephews; and life long friends "cronies"  Judy Allen, JoAnne Molin, and Margo.  She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Robert; 3 children, Lora Ellen Smith, Kelly Anne Smith, Donna Lynn Smith; and brother, Edmond Verloove.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
