Nancy Matson

April 19, 1934 — February 20, 2021

MATSON, Nancy Lee of Clarkston, formerly of Fenton and Holly, MI went to be with her Lord on February 20, 2021. A private graveside service will be held at White Chapel Memorial, Troy MI at a later date. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Milton A. Matson and Helen J. Matson. She will be remembered by her surviving family and friends. Siblings: Milton Donald Matson (Nancy), Dale E. Matson (Sharon), and Verna Sue Leoni (Tony). Loving Aunt to: Jane Walbridge, Donald Matson, Sarah Gray, Benjamin and Zachary Matson, Michael, Matthew and Mark Leoni. She also enjoyed many grand nephews and grand nieces and friends. Nancy was born in her parents’ home in Royal Oak in 1934 and graduated from Royal Oak High School in 1952. She graduated with her Master's Degree from Wayne State University in Hospital Administration. Nancy retired in 2003 from Providence Hospital following 34 years of dedicated service. Nancy served as president, officer, and board member of the American Association of Bio Analysts since 1967. Nancy was a life-long church member and pianist. She spent most of her adult life enjoying her home on Buckhorn Lake, Holly, MI. Even with the accomplishments mentioned above, Nancy will be remembered for her skillful craftsmanship including teaching macramé, knitting, sewing, crocheting and especially her master talent at basketry.
