BARRY, Oscar Harrison Jr. - Age 69, of  Swartz Creek, died Wednesday May 12, 2021. Interment 2:30PM Monday, July 19 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. For those who wish they can meet at 1:30 PM Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek for a procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to https://www.als.org/.  Oscar was born March 9, 1952 in Flint, the son of Oscar Harrison and Dorothy Mae (Bradburn) Barry. He married Julie Edwards-Murray in Flint on February 15, 2003, after 5 years of dating. Oscar proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1971-1975. He owned at operated Barry Distribution and retired from Auto Zone with 10 years of service and then finished his career with Duckette's Auto Garage. Oscar loved boating, fishing and auto shows along with his hobby of flipping cars. Surviving are: his loving wife of 24 years, Julie Barry of Swartz Creek; children, Jacy Harrison (Arianna) Barry of Davison, Brent James (Tishauna) Murray of Flint, Joel Benjamin (Jessica) Murray of Clio, Meagan Coral (Corey) Mills of Standish, Jordan Timothy Murray of Detroit, Nathan (Jenn) Hank of Flint; 22 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Dorothy Barry; sisters, Betty Allen, Lula Hayes and Roberta Barry. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
