MITCHELL, Phillip Jason - Age 76, of Fenton, died Friday, November 20, 2020. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at The Rock Church, 11400 Linden Road, Fenton. Pastor Emery Anstett officiating. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, 209 E. Broad St, Linden Monday from 2-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
Phillip was born November 21, 1943 in Flint, the son of Jason Phillip and Beatrice Genevieve (Kerrigan) Mitchell. He was a 1961 graduate of Davison High School. He married Cheryl Chamberlain March 3, 1979 in Fenton and she preceded him in death November 17, 2018. He had resided in the Fenton area most of his life. Phillip retired in 1994 from GM Pontiac Motors after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Fenton Eagles Aerie #2460 and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #571 in Alpena. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and woodworking.
Surviving are: his children, Phillip Mitchell, Jr. (Debi) of Fenton, Deborah Beckman (Kevin) of Tennessee, Randall Mitchell (Jennifer) of Fenton, and Laura Bradford (Brett) of Florida; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Vern Mitchell (Carlene) of Texas, JoAnn Howard of Swartz Creek, Harry Mitchell (Kitty) of Fenton, and Nancy Dode of Linden; and several nieces and nephews.
